全訳
「わたしはその場にじっとしてた」とミッちゃんは言った。「正気を失ってただ恐怖で震えていた。馬の上半身がわたしに乗っかっていた。わたしたちは殲滅された。そしてにおいといったらーああひどかった！焦げ付いた肉みたいだった！わたしは馬が倒れて来たせいで背中を怪我し、具合がよくなるまでそこで起き上がれなかった。ついさっき前は単なるパレードみたいだったのにーつまずいて、爆発して、飛んでいった！」
「壊滅だ！」とミッちゃんは言った。
