1. 赤アンダーラインの文型表示は、what節がO、IがS、knowがVのOSV第三文型前置です。前も見ましたね。
2. 青アンダーラインのカッコ内の語句を、一語加えて並び替えると、nor did I knowとなります。nor+疑問文 ですね。CVS倒置やMVS倒置はSとVを直接入れ替えますが、nor/neither/so/否定語の倒置は疑問文の形にする（一般動詞ならVを直接出すのではなく助動詞を使う）ということは（特にnor/neither/soで）間違えやすいので気をつけましょう。
（nor know I とかしたらダメです）。
3. 緑のthese mechanical colossiと同じものを指す語句を本段落から抜き出すと、three gigantic black things（最終文）ですね。

全訳
そしてわたしが長年安全に暮らしてきたこの小さき世界が、いまや火災で混沌に陥ってしまったのだ！ この７時間の間に起きたことは依然として理解できていなかった。少しずつ頭に浮かんできてはいたが、これらの巨大機械と、円筒宇宙船から出てくるのを見たのろまなやつには何か関係があるのかということもわからなかった。他人事に対する興味みたいな妙な感情が出てきて、机の椅子を窓に向けて座り、真っ黒になった土地を見つめ、特に３体の巨大な黒い物体に注目していた。その物体は炎の明かりの中、サンド・ピットの周りで行ったり来たりしていた。
このコーナーではすでに、「these mechanical colossi」が火星人の戦闘トライポッドってことは説明しちゃってるけど、当時のリッちゃんにとってはあまりにも展開が急で、あのトライポッドを火星人が操縦してるなんてことはわかってなかったってことだな。
