1. come upon≒come across≒meet by chance で「偶然出会う」。come uponのuponはonにはできませんので注意しましょう。
2. オレンジのandはhad got とwere pilingを繋いでます。
3. 緑のtalkはto talkとしてあげましょう。too～to構文ですね。
全訳
さらに進むと、３人の女性・２人の子供の集団と道で出会った。その５人はせかせかと労働者の小屋から物を運び出していた。小さな手押し車を持っており、汚らしい包みや古びた家具を積み上げていた。あまりにせっせと仕事をしていたので、わたしたちが通り過ぎる際に声をかけられることもなかった。
