1. オレンジのandが繋いでるものは、emergedとfound。
2. 青アンダーラインの単語を適切に並び替えると、had it not been for～（≒but for～≒without～）の形が出てきますね。
3. 紫のothersを「other～」の形で書き換えると、other of the houses。少し前を見てあげるとsomeがあるので、「some～others～」の対句表現です。
4. 赤のandが繋いでるものは、the silent desertion, the stirring movement, the knot。
5. 青のandが繋いでるものは、standingとstaring。
全訳
バイフリート駅のそばで、わたしたちは松林から抜け出た。その一帯は朝日のもと静かで平和だった。もうレーザー光線のはるか射程外に出ていたのだ。静かで人気がない家もあれば、荷造りでドタバタしている家もあった。そして兵士の一団が線路にかかる橋の上でウォーキングの方を見つめていた。でも、そうした家や兵士の姿がなければ、その日は他の日曜日とほとんど変わらないようだった。
