1.　オレンジのitが指しているものは、the loose gravel。
2.　緑のandが繋いでるものは、coming, driving, whirling, lifting。すべてthe foot of a Matianに繋がります。memory of～となっているので、the foot of a Martianが意味上の主語、４つのVingが意味上の動詞ですね。
3.　紫のof句（２か所）が修飾している語は、a dim memory。２つめのofが「of+意味上の主語+Ving」の形になっていることがわかれば正解できると思います。
4.　赤のandが繋いでるものは、of the foot…, of a long…, of the four…という３つのof句（memoryに繋がります）。
5.　茶色のandが繋いでるものは、now clearとthen faint。対比関係になっているわけですね。

全訳

そのときの記憶はぼんやりとしている。頭上20ヤード(≒18ｍ)もないところをロボットの足が通過し、足がそのまま柔らかい砂浜に突き刺さり、四方に砂を巻き上げた後、またロボットが足を上げて行った。長い緊張状態が続き、そして４体のロボットが戦友の残骸をみんなで抱えていった。彼らの姿は一度はくっきりしたものの、すぐに蒸気に覆われてかすんでしまった。川と牧草地の広大な土地をいつまでも向こうに進んでいるように見えた。そして徐々に、奇跡的に助かったということに気づいた。
