最初の「these folks」っていうのは、前段落の、火星人が宇宙船から出てきたことすら知らない人々を指してるぞ。

1. オレンジのasの意味は「とき」。Whenより同時性が強いです。
2. 緑のandが繋いでるものはtalkingとpeering。
3. 赤アンダーラインの文型表示は上の通り。find O C(ここではVing)の第五文型ですね。andがあるのでCが２つになります。
4. 青のandが繋いでるものは前後の2つのSV（文）です。カンマ＋andはもう大丈夫ですよね。まあ必ずしも絶対SVを繋いでるわけじゃないんですが。
全訳
こういった人々はちらほらホーセル共有地に出てくると、小規模の群衆が興奮して話し、砂地の上で回転する鏡を見つめているのに気づいた。そうして新しく来た人たちに、間違いなく、すぐにこの場の興奮がうつった。
