詳細解説を入れると異常に長くなってしまったので、とりあえず今回は一切の予備知識なしで文章を読んでみてください。今までに紹介した知識である程度理解はできると思いますから。
次回は108.5話という扱いにして、しっかりした背景解説だけの補助回にしたいと思います。

1. 赤のandが繋いでるものは、cameとdeployed。
2. 緑のto不定詞の用法は結果用法。目的にして「展開するために行進した」とするといまいち意味が通らないですからね。目的用法でおかしかったら結果用法を疑いましょう。文法上は目的と結果の区別はほとんどありません。
3. 茶色のoneを文中の語句を用いて言い換えると、「one officer」です。
4. オレンジの「missing」の意味は「行方不明だ」「失踪している」です。
5. 紫のカッコ内のquestionを適切に活用させると、questioningです。busy Vingで「Vするのに忙しい」ですね。
6. ピンクのandが繋いでるものは、a squadron of hussarsと、 two Maximsと、about four hundred menですね。
全訳
11時ごろに、一個中隊がホーセルを通ってきて、ホーセル共有地の端に沿って展開し、封鎖した。その後、さらに一個中隊がチョブハムを行進し、ホーセル共有地の北側に布陣した。インカーマン兵営から来た数名の将校はその日早くから共有地にいた。将校の一人のエデン少佐は行方不明だと伝えられた。その連隊の大佐はチョブハム橋から来て、真夜中でも群衆に質問するのに忙しかった。軍当局は確実に事態の深刻さを認識していた。11時ごろに、カーディガンの大隊から、１個騎兵中隊と２丁のマキシム機関銃、約400名の兵士がオールダーショットから進撃を開始した。
